Bourne seek a double

Bourne Town hope it is a case of third time lucky tonight after seeing their last two fixtures postponed.

Saturday’s home clash with Olney Town was a victim of the weather, as was last week’s trip to Rothwell Corinthians, so the Wakes will be hoping the match at Raunds Town goes ahead.

Bourne have improved recently with two successive league wins, including a 4-3 victory over Raunds.

Bourne lost 7-6 to Netherton in a friendly last Wednesday so manager Rafa Mazzarella is confident his side won’t be too rusty.

He said: “Raunds will be more wary of us now but we are not getting carried away and they will be the favourites.

“But if we can stay in the game for long enough we can cause them problems.”
