GRAHAM Drury has revealed the identities of the first two players to sign up for his 2012-13 Daniels squad.

Tyrone Kirk, who rejoined Stamford shortly before the end of last season, has resigned for The Daniels, and former Cambridge United and Corby, attacking midfielder Sam Ives joined yesterday evening.

Ives, 20, impressed Drury Graham while at Corby, scoring four goals in 14 appearances for The Steelmen.Cambridge-based Ives has also played for Cambridge United 43 times.

Drury said: "Tyrone and I know each other well and I'm delighted to be working with him again at the club I introduced him to.

"Tyrone and I have discussed his wish to play at a higher level and agreed hard work and creative, impressive performances in a Daniels shirt will help him achieve his goal."

Drury added: "I rate Sam highly and had to reluctantly let him leave Corby last season.

"Sam is a talented player and I am so pleased he has decided to sign for us whilst assessing opportunities at other clubs."

The Daniels' pre-season fixtures will include a home tie against Rotherham United one week before the start of the season, on August 11.
