ROTHERHAM United will provide Stamford’s sternest pre-season test this evening when they vist Kettering Road.
The visit of the Division Two side, led by former Stamford boss Steve Evans, will be the biggest friendly played in the area for many years and current Stamford manager Graham Drury is excited by their visit.
“It’s a big, professional club who are tipped to do well in divison two of the football league this year,” he said.
“Steve will bring a strong team down to play and it should be an enjoyable game. Hopefully we will step up against a higher league side.”
THE Daniels will also unveil their new home playing kit at this evening’s match. The match kicks-off at 7.45pm and this will be the first time supporters will see the new strip design, as voted for by fans.
It will also be the first kit in the world to have a club twitter address and QR code (for smart phones) printed on the back. The shirt sponsor will be announced on Monday.
The home shirt will be available for fans to pre-order from the club shop at the following prices: Adults £30, Daniels Independent Supporters Club members (DISC) £28, juniors £23 and junior DISC members £25.
