Have your say

Quite simply, it doesn’t get much better than this!

You could probably argue that a performance is never perfect because more goals might have been added to the tally.

But from start to finish, Deeping Rangers produced a magnificent display.

A fifth successive win was their biggest margin of victory in the league since the first week of last season.

What makes it even more special is the fact that this was not one of those routine wins against a team who will be fighting against relegation for the next few months.

Mid-table Deeping were far too good for Harborough Town who had been hoping to extend their unbeaten run into double figures.

The Bees were outclassed as Rangers made it 19 goals in those five wins – and it could have been more.

Scott Coupland’s double put him level on 12 goals this season with Scott Mooney.

Henry Dunn, Charlie Coulson and Will Bird were also on target while Jason Kilbride hit the crossbar in stoppage-time.

Last term, Deeping ended level on points but they failed to score against Harborough.

On form, it should have been another close contest but Rangers ran out winners by producing their top form.

The pass masters made it look simple with crisp moves to create space thanks to one-touch football.

Deeping are always very capable of creating chances and this time they proved to be clinical as well.

Coupland and Dan Schiavi had already gone close before they combined for the first goal.

An attack down the right wing ended with Schiavi’s pass and Coupland’s left-foot shot inside the near post.

Mooney wasted a golden opportunity to doubled the advantage but Dunn’s magical strike made it 2-0.

Six minutes before half-time, Dunn’s 30-yard drive dipped into the top corner.

Richard Stainsby only needed to make a couple of saves before Deeping went 3-0 up.

Mooney blocked Ryan Watkin’s attemped clearance and Coupland pounced to dance past goalkeeper Luke Maher and slot home.

Coupland could have got a hat-trick when his shot was parried by Maher and hooked off the line by Callam Traynor but moments later Coulson found the top corner of the net.

Coupland claimed another assist by feeding Bird who put the ball under Maher’s body to put the finishing touch on a dazzling display by Deeping.

STAR MAN

Scott Coupland – two goals, a couple of assists and should have celebrated a hat-trick. Stood out again in a terrific team display but everyone played their part on a marvellous day for Deeping.
