Stamford marksman Ricky Miller has left the club to join Conference North side Boston United.
The Pilgrims announced his arrival today and Daniels manager David Staff wished him well.
Staff said: “I have always had a good relationship with Ricky but he is ambitious and wants to play at a higher level. He is keen to give it a go and we wish him well.
“I already have two talented centre forwards and will add a third before the season.”
Miller was The Daniels’ top scorer last season, netting the winning goal in the 2-1 victory against Chasetown in the final of the Evo-Stik First Division South play-offs last month.
Also on their way out of Kettering Road are Sam Saunders, because of family commitments, and goalkeeper Matt Finlay.
“Matt has been fantastic for the club. He is a terrific lad and a real leader on the pitch,” added Staff, who has added two midfielders to his squad this week.
Alvin Jarvis and Ash Robinson will join Liam Richardson who confirmed his plans to stay at Stamford last week.
Jarvis, a strong, 6ft 2in central midfielder, joins from Loughborough Dynamo.
When Dynamo won 2-1 at Stamford, Jarvis slipped back into defence shackling Stamford’s frontline and the Stamford boss said: “Every time he played against Stamford he looked good.
“He is a big lad who is strong in the tackle but he is also versatile. He can also play at centre half but I am signing him as a central midfield player.”
Robinson spent part of last season at nearby Grantham Town and is another powerful player who also boasts a long throw in his armoury.
Richardson will be more familiar to Daniels fans after he played a key role in Stamford’s push for promotion late last season.
Staff added: “I want a squad that are keen to prove themselves at this level and he fits the bill. He was very good for us last season.”
Stamford start their pre-season on July 2nd when a number of trialists will attend.
