Stamford’s new manager, David Staff, has acted quickly to secure the services of several key players for next season.

Defenders Tom Batchelor and Shaun Wright have agreed terms along with winger Andy Hall and striker Jordan Hempenstall.

Staff has also secured the services of striker Jordan Smith who rejoins The Daniels following spells at Boston United and Ilkeston last season.

On his way out of Kettering Road however is midfielder Danny Brooks, who has decided not to resign due to travelling commitments.

Staff, who took charge of Stamford yesterday evening after the departure of Wayne Hatswell to Newport County, said: “I am delighted the players have agreed terms and are keen to work with me facing the challenges of a very competitive league.

“I had a long conversation with Danny Brooks. We all remember his Chasetown free kick and FC United strike and will miss his consistency in midfield. I thank him on behalf of the club for his contribution whilst a Stamford player.”
