Daniels boss Wayne Hatswell says he will demand “a reaction” from his players when they return to action this evening.
Stamford lost their heads as they lost 2-1 at home to Chasetown with two red cards on Saturday, and today’s trip to Leek Town will not be an easy fixture to arrest a dip in form.
After a run of six unbeaten games, Stamford’s form has slipped with back-to-back defeats and the Staffordshire side is far from the ideal venue to bring that to an end. Tenth-placed Leek beat Stamford 1-0 back in January.
Hatswell said: “We have to pick ourselves up. We need to get back to winning ways and I am looking for a reaction on Tuesday.
“We shot ourselves in the foot on Saturday. We are conceding from set plays which is so important at our level.”
Midfielder James Ozmen is a doubt for this evening after picking up a knock on Saturday but Danny Brooks is available after completing his suspension.
Sean Wright and Jack McGovern, who were both dismissed for dissent on Saturday, can play this evening but will miss the Newcastle Town and King’s Lynn games later this month.
“We have to address our discipline,” added the Stamford manager.
“I have increased fine for players in the past and will do it again it I need to. We need to have 11 players on the pitch and suspensions do hurt the team.”
