The Daniels made it four wins from four outings in February with a 2-0 victory on the artificial pitch at Romulus on Saturday.
Stamford scored twice in the second half with Danny Brooks breaking the deadlock early in the second half and Ben Saunders securing the three points in injury time.
Stamford boss Wayne Hatswell was delighted to return victorious and with another clean sheet from a trip he described as a potential “banana skin”.
“I was very pleased with the performance,” he said. “It could have been a banana skin for us. They made it difficult.
“I felt it was just a matter of time in the second half. It was a cracking free kick from Danny Brooks and then we created four or five great chances before we closed it out in the end.”
With Evo-Stik League First Division South leaders Coalville losing 3-2 at Carlton Town, second-placed Stamford narrowed the gap behind the leaders to 12 points with a game in hand.
Hatswell added: “It’s for them to lose but we can add some pressure and there are still a lot of points to play for.”
Stamford host fourth-placed Sutton Coldfield, who they beat 4-2 earlier in the year, on Saturday. Kick off is at 3pm.
