One Touch U11s reached their second cup final of the season in beating Feeder Soccer 2-0 in the Junior Alliance League Cup on Sunday.
Two strikes by Ethan Young - the first a superb 30-yard free-kick that dipped into the top corner - guided Stamford’s One Touch through what at times was an overly physical semi-final.
Feeder had keeper Rylan Thomas and some wayward One Touch finishing to thank for keeping them in the game for so long.
Feeder’s only real chance came straight after Young’s 17th-minute opener, but a double save by One Touch’s James Roberts and some alert defensive work by Oliver Tooth kept their lead intact.
Young doubled the lead in the 25th minute when he received the ball from a corner and fired it into the far corner.
Matthew Betts and Rhys Holmes both shot over early in the second half as One Touch pressed for a third goal to kill the game off.
It never came, but One Touch rarely looked in danger of conceding a goal to give Feeder hope of a comeback.
One Touch will play title rivals Deeping Rangers Blue in the League Cup final on 29 March, before facing ASSL in the PFA Cup final on 19 April.
