The ChromaSport & Trophies Peterborough & District League has moved its annual meeting to avoid a big fixture clash.
The meeting had initially been scheduled for Thursday, June 19 at In2itive Park, Yaxley - the same night that England face Uruguay in the World Cup.
League chiefs canvassed the opinion of club representatives before opting to put back the annual meeting to Friday, June 20.
League official Wendy Newey said: “We pride ourselves on listening to the wishes of our clubs and they were almost unanimous in wanting the date of the AGM to be changed.”
Eleven new teams are currently expected to be introduced into the league next season - two of them belonging to non-league clubs who will enter reserve sides.
The Wisbech Town second string will enter at Division One level while Spalding United Reserves will play in Division Two.
Peterborough PL have been lined up to enter at Division Three level and Holbeach Bank have been placed into Division Four.
The remaining new teams - AFC Stanground Reserves, Africans Utd, Coates Athletic ‘A’ (who will play under the new Whittlesey Athletic banner), Holbeach ‘A’, Millfield, Parkside ‘A’ and Sawtry ‘A’ will line up in Division Five.
A host of new applications have also been received for the veterans section which could be split into two divisions for the first time.
