Position in the table could be deceptive

THE Daniels opponents tomorrow, Market Drayton Town, sit third from bottom of the Evo-Stik First Division South but their recent form suggests a tougher battle lies ahead than their position in the table would imply.

Drayton lost 2-1 at Newcastle Town on Monday but a week earlier put four past Sutton Coldfield away from home and they have only lost three in their 11 games since caretaker manager Jimmy Mullen took over.

l TOMORROW’S visitors to Outgang Road, Newport Pagnell, are among the United Counties League’s top scorers with 60 goals in 23 games.

Recent victims include Blackstones, who Pagnell beat 2-1 last month. The man to watch out for could well be Dominic Lawless who had bagged seven goals in his last six games.

l BLACKSTONES host bottom side Desborough tomorrow

Stones will have to fancy their chances against a side that has netted just 19 times in 23 games and have won just once away in the league all season.
