Jones found the net twice in the space prompting Rangers boss Tuncay Korkmaz ot reconsider Jones’ position.

The Deeping boss said: “Kris has been playing well in general and his goalscoring is a real bonus. Maybe we are playing him in the wrong position.”

* BLACKSTONES drew with another top side on Saturday, coming away from Long Buckby with a 1-1 draw.

It was Stones’ fourth successive draw against a top side and joint boss Darren Jarvis said: “Buckby are a quality side, especially going forward, so it goes down as another good point.”

The hosts hit the front after 10 minutes but Addie Staffieri levelled from close range soon after the restart following good work from Andy Boome.
