Ryhall held to a draw by goalkeeper

Ryhall United scraped out a 1-1 draw away at Maccasports ahead of this weekend’s derby date at Ketton.

United struggled on a tight pitch in blustery conditions during the first half against a Maccasports side who worked hard, snapping at Ryhall all over the pitch and took the lead midway through the first half with a well placed header.

Ricky Pozella levelled the scores before half time with an excellent penalty strike after he was felled in the area.

Ryhall managed to get on top in the second half and had chances to win the game but were denied a winning goal by three fantastic reflex saves from the home keeper.

Ryhall: Steve Rudkin, Ant Sheehan, Rob Hillson, Paul Sheehan, Robbie Blowers, Joe Lippett (James Sheehan), Will Thomas, Danny Sheehan, Barry Burton, Ricky Pozella, Eddy Pentney.
