Blackstones moved up to 14th in the United Counties League Premier Division with their tenth win of the season, beating Harborough Town 4-2 at Lincoln Road on Saturday.
The Stamford side did it the hard way, coming from behind after trailing to Taras Petranyuk’s 42nd minute goal and scoring twice late on to seal the points.
Harborough’s first-half lead was short-lived with Michael Nelson levelling after 47 minutes. But the visitors were back in front just 11 minutes later when Petranyuk restored Harborough’s lead.
Sam Strange pulled Stones back with their second equaliser of the game, in the 74th minute and Addie Staffieri then put the hosts ahead for the first time in the afternoon, with an 84th minute penalty. Within a minute Stones had doubled their lead with Strange finding the net for the second time.
Stones are away to Wellingborough Town on Tuesday evening and then travel to Cogenhoe on Saturday.
