Stamford AFC manager
David Staff has billed the club’s FA Cup second qualifying round date tomorrow as a must-win match.

he Daniels entertain lower-level AFC Wulfrunians from Wolverhampton at the newly-named Vic Couzens Stadium (3pm kick-off).

Stamford have managed only one win in their past seven matches - a replay success over Grantham Town in the previous round.

Staff said: “It is a big game for myself, the players and the club.

“The replay victory at Grantham in the last round hasn’t provided the sort of springboard I hoped it would.

“We are in a position where we really need to get a victory regardless of the competition it arrives in.

“It certainly won’t be easy in the FA Cup though as AFC Wulfrunians will come here and play with no fear.”

The winners of tomorrow’s tie will pocket £4,500.

Staff is considering expanding his backroom team following the departure of first-team coach Steve Farmer earlier this week to take up a similar position at Skrill Premier Division club Tamworth.
