BLACKSTONES travel to Newport Pagnell tomorrow on a winning roll.

Stones picked up three more points last Saturday with a 2-0 win against Thrapston thanks to strikes from Danny Barker and Michael Nelson.

Nelson made the 54th minute breakthrough for Stones and eight minutes later Danny Barker secured the three points with his first touch of the ball after going on as a substitute.

Joint Stones boss Darren Jarvis said: “The players have been outstanding at getting the points we target.”

Stones expect a tough game at Newport Pagnell tomorrow and joint boss Darren Jarvis said the Blackstones side may be adjusted for a different kind of game.

He said: “Pagnell will always make it difficult for anyone at their place but we go there with confidence and will look to take something from the game.

“There will be more of a physical presence and we will change the side. You have to play the right team for the game and our squad understand that. It also makes sure everybody gets pitch time and keeps the squad happy.”

Blackstones (v Thrapston): Lee Crockett, Tim Quy, Andy Ellis, Matt Porter, Luke Hunnings, Andy Buckle (Steve Burns), Jacob Smitheringale, Andy Boome, Michael Nelson (Matt Cox), Ben Easson (Danny Barker), Aaron Greene.
