Stones win Stamford derby

BLACKSTONES beat Stamford 1-0 in a friendly at Lincoln Road yesterday evening.

Former Daniels striker Simon Mowbray scored the only goal of the game after 30 minutes.

Stamford’s best chance to level came two minutes from time but Lee Crockett superbly saved Nathan Watson’s penalty.

Stones have a week off this weekend, while the Daniels travel to Quorn on Saturday and host Hucknall Town at the Premier Kitchens Arena on Tuesday evening.
