Oakham United already have what is widely regarded as one of the strongest squads in the PDFL Premier Division, which has helped them to second in the table, but that has not stopped the club’s management continuing to add quality signings.
Oakham manager Wayne Oldaker has signed another proven goal-scorer in form Yaxley and Deeping Rangers strike ace Lewis Leckie.
Leckie has been signed from PDFL Division One sign Stanground after he dropped down the leagues because he was unable to give the game the time he wanted because of work commitments which included more than two years out of football.
However this season he has scored 20 goals in 14 appearances, with eight assists to staggeringly have played a part in about half of the goals Stanground have scored this year.
Perhaps even more impressive is the way the striker has been terrorising defences in the Peterborough Sunday Morning League where he scored an insane 52 goals in 21 games for Yaxley British Legion last season.
