Victories for Daniels and Deeping

Stamford and Deeping Rangers both enjoyed midweek wins on Tuesday evening.

The Daniels beat King’s Lynn Town 3-1 away in the Doodson Cup while Deeping put Saturday’s elimination from the FA Vase behind them with a 4-1 victory at home to Boston Town in the league.

Greg Smith opened the scoring for Stamford and Rickey Miller bagged a double, his second coming late on after Lynn pulled a goal back in the second half.

Alex Beck scored twice for Rangers, who led 3-1 at the break. Matt Herno and Ash Stevens were also on target for Deeping.

Tonight’s matches include Blackstones against Spalding United in the league at Lincoln Road, and Bourne Town versus Holbeach United at Carters Park in the Lincolnshire Senior Trophy.
