The Wakes will be back to full strength as they seek to complete a league double against Rushden and Higham United tomorrow.
Bourne won 3-2 at Rushden early in the season with goals from Mike Feely, Craig Rook and Ben Easson, and manager Darren Munton is keen for his side to extend their current three-match unbeaten run tomorrow.
“They are a physical side but it’s a winnable game on Saturday,” said Munton, whose side’s recent progress was put on hold last weekend with the postponement of their fixture at Olney due to a waterlogged pitch.
“We had momentum going so it was a shame that it was called off,” said the Bourne boss. “It would have been nice to keep going.
“If we can pick up three or four more wins it would put us in a good position but I am pleased with the team at the moment. There is a good balance and good banter between the lads.”
A further boost for the Wakes final few games is the return of former skipper Dan Smith from Peterborough Northern Star.
Munton said: “When he left Bourne it was with a heavy heart. He’s a good player. It’s good to have him back.”
Bourne’s reserves travel to play Northampton ON Chenecks tomorrow.
