Northampton Sileby Rangers 0 Bourne Town 4
THE Wakes were bright from the first whistle on the hottest weekend of the year as they returned 4-0 victors from Sileby Rangers.
It was one of Bourne’s best performances of the season as they ran Sileby ragged.
Seb Hood set the ball rolling before a high-class volleyed second from Stewart Lambie doubled the lead on the stroke of half-time.
Striker Alex Brockbank sealed the points just before the hour and substitute Tom Dunn added a touch more gloss late on.
Bourne boss Darren Munton said: “We adapted much better than Sileby to the conditions and produced a very good all-round team performance. The difference from this weekend to last was unbelievable.”
Bourne: Jarman, Moss, Robinson, Braithwaite, Jesson, Hood, Mason, G. Staffieri, Humphries (Dunn), Lambie (N. Staffieri), Brockbank (Leopoldino). Unused: Smith.
