Airshots are on lookout for new members

Founder of the Airshots Golf Society, Colin Eversden, hopes to raise even more funds towards the air ambulance service in 2013.

Colin, a Greetham Valley golfer, set up the society after the death of Greetham Valley chef James Adamson in August 2010 and the air ambulance’s efforts to save his life.

In the last 12 months the group has raised £1,400.

Airshots is made up of 32 members from four different golf clubs in Lincolnshire and Rutland, playing at six or seven venues each year.

Players pay a fixed price for each game irrespective of the venue’s charges and any excess goes to the fund. Airshots has also been backed by sponsors Sunlight Laundry, The Pyramid Snooker Club in Bourne, and the P&Qs golf society.

Colin hopes to attract more members this 2013 season and is backed by Greetham Valley vice-captain Shaun Denholm who is a fundraiser for the air ambulance.
