A field of 33 players (6 ladies and 27 men) turned out for the final event of 2012 at Toft Golf Club on Sunday.

Two teams, headed by the men’s and ladies’ captains and vice-captains battled in a friendly spirit over conditions that were in places very wet underfoot.

The captains’ team of Mark Gould and Sandra Wildmore triumphed over the vice-captains Martin Henderson and Judith Childs , winning 5.5-3.5.

Refreshments, served by Anne and Lisa Gould at the halfway house, were much appreciated by the intrepid competitors.

At the post-match gathering club captain Mark Gould thanked everyone who had taken part especially those players called on at the last minute.
