Ladies prepare for year ahead

The ladies section at Toft Golf Club has elected its committee members for the 2012-2013 season.

The following were unanimously chosen: Captain, Sandra Wildmore; Vice-Captain, Judith Childs; Secretary, Alison Ravenhill; Treasurer, Lisa Gauci; Handicap Secretary, Helen Roscoe; Competitions Secretary, Margaret Dair; Committee Members, ary Stark, Sue Slowey and Jean Parsons.

Sandra thanked past committee members for their invaluable help while she was acting captain and she paid tribute to Pat Key as the original ladies captain, especially for the work she had done to raise funds for her chosen charity Breakthrough Breast Cancer. More than £1,000 was raised.

Sandra’s own chosen charity was the Butterfield Day Centre in Bourne with special reference to much needed new toilets.

The new Lady Captain Sandra then presented prizes and trophies to the season’s winners.

Winners included Cathy Lee (Plate Singles Knockout), Lisa Gauci (Captain’s Challenge Cu, 21-28 handicap), Jean Parsons (Captain’s Vase,29-36 handicap), Marie ad Scott and Cathy lee (Toft Spoons), Cathy Lee (Eclectic series), Cathy Lee (Birdie Tree), Viv Stanton (Pars Cup).
