Pollock strikes hand Rutland victory

Rutland followed up last week’s 2-0 home victory against St Ives with an identical scoreline in the corresponding away fixture on Saturday.

Again it was Anne Pollock’s goals that made the difference, although Rachel Richardson had one short corner effort chalked off and there were several other near misses.

The Rutland girls remain top of the Cambridgeshire Premier League, one point clear of Wisbech and four clear of Newmarket, who they entertain at Uppingham this weekend.

Rutland: Pippa Stubbs, Rachel Richardson, Jen Pollock, Katie Richardson, Kim Cooil, Sarah Sissins, Anne Pollock, Penny Skipper, Kerry Rough, Nicki Perry, Izzy Chedd.
