NORTH Luffenham moved to the top of the South Lincs & Border League’s third tier following last Saturday’s nine wicket victory over Grantham 2nds.
Luffenham have been in scintillating early season form, winning three of their opening four games and they were light years ahead of Grantham.
Danny Ashley made 69 for the visitors but with four players going for ducks and the remaining batsmen barely making headway, Luffenham faced a target of just 127, which they reached in under 30 overs.
Woody Hodson and Robert Staniland picked up where Dave Brew and Robin King left off the week before, each taking three wickets and Robin King, who took five for 16 a week earlier, claimed two late wickets for just three runs in his three overs.
Dave Brew led the reply with the 47 before he was bowled but Luffenham never looked in danger.
Luffenham, without a league fixture this weekend, visit Claypole on June 4.
