It's like Ski Sunday for Tallington Snow Tigers

IT really was Ski Sunday for a youth team which was taking part in a regional competition at a leisure complex at the weekend.

Tallington Lakes hosted the Eastern Regional Ski Association meeting on Sunday when about 10 clubs competed, including its own youth team the Snow Tigers.

Children and adults whizzed down the ski slope in time trials and dual slaloms in the competition’s 23 different categories.

The Snow Tigers team, which consists of about 20 youngsters aged up to 15, unfortunately did not make it into the top three placings but Joe Chambers won the single men’s competition.

Manager of the Pro Shop Paul Cowling is hoping the complex will be host two of these events next year and has praised the Snow Tigers’ efforts.

Mr Cowling said: “They did fantastically well and it is great they came down and represented us.”
