MEMBERS of Bourne Deeping Hockey Club undertook an unusual challenge at BDHC's annual club day on Sunday.

Players completed 2012 consecutive passes to complete the 2012 Gold Challenge in aid of the British Red Cross.

Club secretary Graham Brewer described the day as "a fantastic success", adding: "Thanks also to Jean Goddard of the Red Cross for coming down and for helping with the presentations for the first ever Oakley Cup, competed for on the day in our intra-club competition."

Money can still be added to the club's collection via www.justgiving.org.uk/BDHC.

He also thanked also the Red Lion, As Sweet As, Sukies Fancy Dress and everyone else who helped make the day a success.

The club's social hockey sessions start on Monday (6.45-9pm) at Deeping Leisure Centre and junior session are on Saturday monrings (9-10.30am).
