TEENAGE ace Ana Webber won the 14 and under girls’ singles title in the Grade 3 Easter Anglia Junior Open at Cambridge at Easter.

Webber, who plays for Oakham Tennis Club and is a member the MyTennis Academy based at Loughborough University, had the luxury of a bye in the first round but then went on to win three rounds to qualify for the final where she convincingly beat the number one seed.

The 14-year-old then competed in the grade 3 Cambridge LTC Easter tournament and once again reached the final, this time losing to the number one seed.

Both events attracted players from various counties throughout the country.

During a busy early season, Webber also competed in her first Tennis Europe event at Nottingham Tennis Centre where she progressed to the final round before losing out to the number 1 seed.

Webber is now ranked number 1 14&U girl in the Leicestershire and Rutland, and just outside the top 50 nationally.
