BOURNE racer Arnie Shelton says he is confident whatever the weather when he enters the latest round of the British Motostar series at Cadwell Park this weekend.
Shelton will put his 125cc race bike through its paces during practice sessions tomorrow ahead of Sunday’s qualifying for Monday’s race day.
Rain can have a big impact on the outcome of the races and Shelton, who is a self-financing privateer, revealed his bike is up to 8mph slower than many team bikes on the straights in dry weather.
But he said: “I am confident of the set-up of the bike, whatever the weather.
“The forecast does not look good but I’ve not had a wet meeting all year.
“I would prefer a dry race but realistically would have a better chance if it’s wet.”
