Club riders seek home advantage

Have your say

Oakham Motocross Club host their first meeting of the season at Sproxton on Sunday with eight rounds of races.

Dean Riggall of the host club said: “Oakham’s riders are keen to be racing on home ground, although whether they will have an advantage will remain to be seen.”

Sproxton is always a popular venue in the East Trent Motocross series and organisers expect large numbers of racers; up to 36 per race.

A sidecar race will be among the series of races with father and son team, Andy and David Nourish, hoping for a top three finish.

Practice begins at 9.45am with the first race to start at 11am. Spectators are welcome.
