Empingham’s Richard Cooper made it three wins on the trot in Rutland Water’s Tuesday Night Boat League.
Cooper quickly caught a bag of eight fish weighing in at 22lb 12½oz to take first place last week. The winning catch included a 5lb 3¾oz rainbow taken in his first cast off Yellowstones.
His father, Gary, took second place, with Keith Jones of Wittering in third.
Cooper boasts a commanding lead in the overall league with a total of 41 points.

Several local anglers competed in a regional qualifier for the Federation of Midland Fly Fishers (Anglia) on Sunday.
Leicester’s Ashley Davis won the match while the best fish weighed in at 5lb 3oz for Frank Sumnall of Stoke on Trent.

Forty four anglers from around the county took part in the annual John Seaton’s Hunt match took place last week.
The best of the day fell to John Chatsfield-Roberts at 4lb 9oz. The best bag was taken by Jim Gamble with 8 fish for 21lb 3oz.
Results: 1st Jim Gamble and Tom Gamble, 16 for 39lb 6oz; 2nd Neil Starsmore and son Ian Starsmore 16 for 33lb 7oz; 3rd John Jefferson and Dave Chalky, 16 for 31lb 7oz.
Overall the reservoir has maintained an excellent rod average with 4.29 for the week.
The best fish of the week went to Adrian Gorman, from Galway, who took a superb rainbow that turned the scales around to 6lb 2oz.
Anglers catching 5lb fish included Ryhall’s Jim Watts and Oakham’s Geoff Wanless.
