STAMFORD indoor bowlers scored a resounding Lincolnshire League victory over Division Two rivals Horncastle, claiming all but two of the 18 points available.
The A team had already beaten them in the Denny Cup last month but needed a confidence-building win after the humiliation of defeat at Long Sutton. They achieved it with a 146-81 shots win, worth 16 vital points.
Rink One again proved the home banker with this time Adam Warrington’s quartet securing a 33-4 victory, though Martyn Dolby’s 40-11 took the rink prize by virtue of more shots.
Warrington and Dolby earned a place in the second round of the English National Indoor Pairs with a 21-11 win at Boston against a duo skipped by Martin Tomlin.
