Thirteen members of Rutland Running and Triathlon Club raced the club’s 2013 mini- triathlon on Sunday.
Warm, cloudy conditions suited competitors who completed 10 lengths of a pool, a seven mile cycle stage and a 3.5 mile run that looped through the countryside from Braunston to Brooke and back.
Fastest on the run section was Bryan Clancy in 24m77s while Sue Fulbrook was the fastest swimmer.
The cycle stage was closely fought with Martin Gordon-Kerr edging ahead in 21m92.
He had the level highest points score of 26,000 which was matched by Saya Sheridan.
Nikki Loomes said “It was a wonderful event where families gathered to support each other. It was relaxed but with an edge of competitiveness.”
“Thanks go to Paul and Cheryl Rogerson for hosting the event and to Zoe Smith and her sister, and Damian Wilkins and Finn Loomes for timekeeping and photos - it was a great team effort.”
