Whissendine teenager Josh Greaves raced in his first National Super Series duathlon on Sunday.
Competing in the British Elite Duathlon at Loughborough, Josh, 15, clocked a time of 30m28s for the 2.5k run, 10k bike and 1.25k run to finish an encouraging 13th alongside triathletes from the Great Britain and Olympic talent squad.
The race was the opening event in the 2013 British Triathlon Youth and Junior Super Series and is designed to bring together the best young triathlon talent from Regional Academies across the country.
Alongside his race was the Elite Men and Women’s British Dualthon which featured some of the country’s top aspiring Olympians including Lucy Hall, Adam Bowden and Mark Buckingham.
On April 21, Josh will return to the course for an East Midlands Series race and is looking forward to beating his time on Sunday.
As part of his pre-season training he represented Leicestershire and Rutland at the CAU National Cross Country Championships and the English School National Cross Country Championship.
