Stamford RFC’s U9s brought their season to a winning conclusion at the weekend at the Leicester Tigers Tournament at Skegness.

Against strong opposition from teams from throughout the country, Stamford Greens reached the semi-final of the main competition while Stamford Reds won the shield event, beating Macclesfield in the final 7 - 6.

The boys received their medals from ex-Tigers and All Black player Craig Newby after spending an enjoyable and motivational weekend at the nearby Butlins resort.
