BURGHLEY Park Golf Club has announced that their main sponsor for the 2011Pro-Am tournament will be Kia Motors.
The event will be held on Friday, July 22 and following last year’s sell out, the club is looking forward to an even more prestigious occasion this summer.
The event will be supported and run by the Midlands PGA, ensuring a strong field of Professionals.
Jon Sewell, secretary of the Midland Region PGA,said: “We are absolutely delighted to be involved with this event as Burghley Park is synonymous with excellent greens and fairways, and a tough challenge for any pro, making it one of the premier events in the Region.”
Burghley Park captain Keith Duff, who heads up the organising team, added: “It’s great that Kia Motors will be our main sponsors, and we also look forward to working in partnership with the Midland Regional PGA.
“This looks like being one of the most exciting day’s golf to be seen at Burghley Park for many years.”
The event is open to all PGA professionals and golf club amateurs, with excellent prizes for both.

l THE 2011 schedule of fixtures for the P and Qs Golf Society were announced this week.
The group which has 55 players signed up for this year start the season on March 19 with a trip to Thorpe Wood Golf Club. Future dates are: Belton Park (April 28); South Kyme (May 21); Boston West (June 11); Tydd St Giles (July 9) and Toft Golf Club (August 20).
There will be a player of the year award as well as honours to be won. Each trip cost £28 (including golf and breakfast) at each venue and guest places on trips are available.
