Ladies European Tour professional Charley Hull made a surprise visit to play at Rutland Water Golf Club over the festive period.

Seventeen-year-old Hull became the youngest ever golfer to compete in Europe’s historic Solheim Cup victory against America back in August.

She was enjoying a relaxing game with friends after recently clinching the LET rookie of the year prize at the season ending event in Dubai.

The young star, who stopped for a photo with club professionals John Pengelly and Adrian Ashworth, said that she had really enjoyed playing the course and was looking forward to the 2014 season where she hoped to clinch her first tournament victory.

l Phil Hibbitt won the Christmas Eve nine-
hole Challenge at the club
with a fantastic score of 20 points.

The now traditional event tests competitors shot-making skills to the full as only three clubs are allowed to be used.

Phil edged out head professional John Pengelly into second who shot a brilliant one under par for 19 points and John Tilley third with 18
points.
