Michael beats everyone including dad and brother

Have your say

Oakham Angling Club competed at Whittlesey on the Decoy Lakes complex fishing Oak Lake at the weekend.

The match turned out to be “a game of two halves”as people on the low numbers caught and people on the high numbers didn’t.

Out in first place beating both his dad and his brother was Michael Daymond, using slow sinking maggot on the pole. Michael caught 85lb 10oz for a well-deserved victory.

Second place went to Paul Green who weighed in with 73lb 08oz.

Filling third spot was Dale Stones with a weight of 45lb 10oz. Unusually for Decoy two or three anglers on pegs 13, 14, and 15 hardly had a
bite .
