Billingborough racer Adam Key is delighted affter winning his class championship in the last race of the MGCC Cockshoot Cup.
The series is split into different classes and Key races in Class F for MGFs and MG TFs.
Key only needed to finish to secure the class championship and even after a big mistake on the first corner, he mnagaed to recover to take the class win and finish 13th overall.
Key said: “This was our first season with the car and we were hoping for at least a runner up spot this year as we’ve been developing the car as we’ve gone along.
“But we’ve been fortunate that we’ve had some races in some very tricky conditions which I was able to take advantage of as I used to rally, and that turned the class championship in my favour.
“Since then we’ve done a lot of work on the car which has paid off with class wins in dry conditions as well as wet and I have just become more confident in the car as the year has gone on and look forward to next year when it all kicks off again in April.
“Of course I have to thank Halls Garage and my family for their support.”
