Roger Shead struck a hole-in-one as the seniors won their annual tussle with the ladies 5-1 at Toft Golf Club.

Shead fired his ace on the 13th and celebrated in traditional fashion in the bar afterwards.

Results: Sandra Wildmore and Lorraine 
Robinson lost to Mal Nichols and Bob Gore; Marie Davenport and Eileen Wynne lost to 
Lionel Tupholme and Mike Platt; Margaret Dair and Karen Parsonage lost to Roger Shead and Terry Hare; Mary Stark and Viv Stanton lost to David Sharp and Stuart 
Booker; Angela Jenkinson and Lisa Gauci halved with John Davenport and Nigel 
Turnbull; Anne Wildish and Carole Priestman halved with Eric Wilson and Phil Sendall.

Toft’s mixed team lost a friendly match at Belton Woods 4½-1½.

Sandra Wildmore and Mark Gould provided the Toft team with a good win 
but Judith Childs and
Graham Willoughby, and Jacqueline Hilton and David Parsonage both lost on the Woods course.

Lorraine Robinson and Adrian Childs managed a half on the Lakes course but there was no such luck for the pairings of Karen Parsonage and Steve Wildmore, and Alison Ravenhill and Richard Robinson.
