A number of key sponsors are easing the funding burden as Stamford Amateur Boxing Club prepares for its next big show later this month.

Westside Health and Fitness Gym owner Simon Dale has sponsored the club for the trophies for its show at Deeping Leisure Centre on Saturday, October 26.

Chris Riddle from B W Riddle Recycling at Bourne has sponsored the ring hire, while other local businessmen have stepped forward with bout sponsorship.

Club fundraiser and coach Catherine Green said without the support for the show it would be a massive strain on club funds as it is a non-profit making club.

“The club opens its doors to all walks of life and has great pleasure in helping individuals’ reach their potential in their chosen sport,” she said.

“The shows allow the hard working boxers to show local supporters what they have achieved. The club is growing by the week and is looking forward to a great season.

“Stamford Amateur Boxing Club wishes to thank all the support we have received which will make a massive difference to the show.”

The show will consist of 17 bouts between Stamford, Bourne and other boxing clubs from around the country.
