The Irish-trained Gordon Lord Byron won the Betfred Sprint Cup at Haydock on Saturday. The 7/2 shot was given a very confident ride by Johnny Murtagh to beat Slade Power with the 5/2 favourite Lethal Force unplaced.
Baccarat has been backed this week ( 10/1 from 12/1 ) for the William Hill Ayr Gold Cup on September 21.
Saturday’s impressive Haydock winner Top Notch Tonto is the 10/1 favourite with Bet365 for the Betfred Cambridgeshire at Newmarket at the end of September.
