BOURNE Grammar School’s Year 8 hockey team have been crowned Lincolnshire Schools County Champions.

The girls came top of their pool, winning every game in the tournament which was held at Horncastle.

A last minute goal in the semi-final against Spalding secured their place in the final where the girls conceded their only goal of the entire competition.

But their skill and stamina saw them through to a 2-1 victory and the squad will travel to London on March 14 to compete in the East tournament against other county winners.
