Motleys have early opportunity to retake local honours

The Motley Crew will seek to restore honour swiftly when they host the Optimists at Edenham on Sunday.

Last Friday The Optimists won a Twenty20 match between the two sides at Empingham Road, Stamford.

Motleys amassed 121-6 off 18 overs with Sean Patchett getting 25 not out, Ben Whitley 24 and Mark Ellis 23.

However the Optimists were always in control in the run chase and with good knocks by Anthony Morris, Simon Sherwin and Graham Richardson, they knocked off the runs with three overs to spare.

Two days later the Motleys won at Tolethorpe after bowling the ome side out for 78 with Stan Vickers taking 3 for 20, Tom Patchett 2 for 9, Wll Patchett 2 for 13 and Charlotte Patchett 1 for 14.

Motleys knocked off the runs in 15 overs with Tom Patchett getting 40 not out and Will Patchett 28 not out.
