Bowlers in third round draw

Stamford bowlers have reached the third round of the English National Over 60s Double Rinks by defeating Grantham.

Matches were played at home and away simultaneously on Wednesday, and Stamford earned a tie with Lincoln or Scunthorpe in the next round with a 54-21 victory.

At home Bob Warters, Mike Ramsden, Doug Want and Martyn Dolby won 26-10 while Alan Romaine, Derek King Keith Rippin and Peter Edwards won 28-11 at Grantham.

Stamford host Lincoln A in the County Mixed League on Sunday.
