Wolfie exits World Championships in opening round
Martin Adams
Deeping darts ace Martin ’Wolfie’ Adams exited the BDO World Championships in the opening round yesterday evening.
Wolfie, 54 and a three-time former champion, lost 3-2 to 19-year-old Jimmy Hendricks at the Lakeside Country Club, Frimley Green.
Hendriks took the first set before second seed Adams levelled the match but the Dutchman, who is ranked 26th in the world, retook the lead in the third set and then took the final fifth to progress to the next round.
