A group of Bourne Town Harriers athletes took part in the last of the Peterborough GP series of races which took place in Werrington on Wednesday last week.
In difficult humid conditions which effected a number of the athletes, 11 year old Elin James finished in a commendable 20th place in the junior race in a time of 12:54.
Daniel Lawrance was the second Harrier home in 27th position and a time of 13:43 followed by Molly Bennett in 29th in a time of 13:44.
In the senior race, 204 athletes competed over a distance of 5k.
Jonathan Palmer was again the first Harrier to finish in an excellent 13th place and a time of 17:20.
He was followed by Joe Howells in 55th place, Keith Evans in 59th and Phil Parker in 72nd.
Richard Houghton finished in 108th place in a time of 22:15 with Beth Howells the lone female Harrier in 120th and a time of 23:03..
The 5k race was won by John Pike of Newhan and Essex Beagles in an impressive 16:01.
