Massive wins for promotion-chasing pair

High-scoring victories for Oakham and Stamford rugby clubs ensured both sides kept their promotion plans on track this afternoon.

The Oaks consolidated their third spot in the Midlands 2 East (North) with a comfortable 36-10 win against Nottingham Casuals at the Showground, while Stamford, returned to the top of the Midlands 3 East (south) table by defeating previous leaders Rugby St Andrews 33-20.

Meanwhile, Bourne got the better of Stamford College Old boys in the Midlands 4 East (South), winning 30-7.
