Bourne RFC will hope for better playing conditions at Milking Nook Drove tomorrow than those which they faced at Corby last Saturday.

Bourne were beaten 10-6 in the mud and rain on a pitch that far from suited their zippy backs.

Tomorrow they take on Nottinghamshire side Meden Vale, who are third in the Midlands 5 East (North).

Bourne’s seconds were beaten 29-19 by Market Rasen 4th XV in the Lincolnshire Merit League with two tries from Alan Faversham and a try on his debut from Neil Ward.

The second team was only launched this season and Neil Oglesbee said: “It was good to get two full teams out especially for away games.”

The seconds travel to play Kesteven 3rd XV in the league tomorrow.
